About Brianne Jewell
I am here to walk with you…
Hello, my name is Brianne Jewell…most people who know me would tell you that I am a very down to earth, compassionate, trustworthy and energetic person. I have a unique ability to connect with others, which has lead me to where I am today. As a therapist, I am here to walk with you into the unknown, to listen to your experiences, life changes, tragedies and joys; endeavoring to view life through your eyes…to listen, without judgement, to what it’s like to walk in your shoes…to offer support, a listening ear and to strategize together ways to grow, cope and continue your journey forward in life.
I believe you have a life worth living -
I believe it is healthy to ask and accept help. It takes a lot of courage to walk into therapy or treatment of any kind and own your story. I believe in looking at the whole-person. You are more than a label or a diagnosis. I will support you through the recovery process. Through various treatment interventions we will work on cultivation of a support system, self-care, coping skills and overall life balance. I use an eclectic approach in therapy and tailor treatment to your individual needs and symptoms. I have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY). I utilize these interventions through a strengths-based lens, viewing you as the expert on your own life with an emphasis in self-determination.
I believe you can live YOUR authentic life
full of hope, joy and peace.
I have worked in the Behavioral Health field for over 12 years. I grew up around a lot of mental illness and addiction - I remember walking into my first Psychology class, as if it were yesterday and realizing this is my passion. I have worked with individuals and families of all ages from children to geriatrics. I have facilitated many individual, family and group therapy sessions. I have in depth experience in crisis intervention and working with people during some of their most difficult times in life.
My journey with yoga
I fell in love with Yoga in 2010 and have been practicing regularly for the last almost 10 years. As my yoga journey has progressed, I have found that through grounding, breath and movement we are able to connect to the Mind, Body & Soul– which can lead to a deeper healing. I completed my 200 Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 and have continued to study uses of Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY) in practice settings. TSY has been shown to be effective for survivors of trauma and those struggling with PTSD.
Striving for health & balance…
I am married to a great man and have been blessed with 2 beautiful children and one furry baby. My hobbies include yoga, long dinners with my family & friends, traveling, being outdoors & relaxing. I truly strive to practice what I believe including self-care, healthy balance and boundaries, both personally and professionally. I believe this is crucial so that I can be fully present to support you. I would be honored to be a part of your healing journey!
